I read the book and loved it… I watched the film and loved it just as much. It’s shaped me as a young girl, made me think about prejudice, compassion, fear, and the difference between perception and reality. It’s still my favourite and one I’ve shared with my children and will be forever the film that made me think and still does whenever injustice rears its head.
