Roman Holiday

by Melba

I do love To Kill a Mockingbird and I cry every time I see it, but Roman Holiday is quite special to me.  I always saw Mr. Peck act as the distinguished, earnest, larger than life character he often portrayed.   This is not surprising, as he owned these qualities in real life as I discovered when I had the pleasure to meet him.  But Roman Holiday gave me the chance to see him as a True Romantic Hero, strong, smart, funny, crafty, but in love.   It gave me a glimpse into the person Veronique fell and stayed in love with.  It is always a treat to watch this movie over and over.
