I find it impossible to choose my favourite film, but when people ask me who my favourite actor is, ‘Gregory Peck’ is always my first thought. I was 11 when I discovered him, when his films were played on TV occasionally and I’d be glued to the screen no matter what time of day or night, recording them on VHS — it was the early ’80s!!! (Editing out the adverts so repeated viewings would be seamless!) Replacing recordings when DVDs were invented was a must, though I still had to hunt down a copy of The Valley of Decision from Korea. I watched it only two days ago with my daughters; their first taste of Mr. Peck, but they’ll be fans too by the time I’m done. 😉
