I had the tremendous honor and luck to twice meet Mr. Peck in person – once at a special reception in Joliet during his ‘Conversation with Gregory Peck’ tour, when he signed a poster for me from Roman Holiday and we talked about gardening 🙂  I was so awestruck, and he was so very nice and down to earth.  Then he graced our Siamsa n’Gael performance for Old St. Patrick’s Church here in Chicago.  I was in the choir – he was one of the best narrators we ever had, and again, so gracious and generous with his time for our benefit performance.
