Only a year or so before he passed away, I got tickets to hear him speak on his life as an actor here in Bellingham, Washington. I was able to take my daughter to hear him as well. She grew up having an awareness of old films and actors unlike most of her peers so it really meant something special for her to be in the presence of Atticus Finch.
