The first time I read To Kill a Mockingbird I was immediately drawn to Atticus Finch. Atticus is a courageous and noble man and father, and he exemplified a true hero. Gregory Peck’s portrayal of Atticus Finch is so well done and accurate, that now whenever I think of Atticus my mind flashes to an image of Gregory Peck as him. To me, Gregory Peck is Atticus Finch. An actor must have great skill and mastery of the craft of acting to fully embody their character, and Gregory Peck truly does. Thank you, Gregory Peck, for bringing to life my biggest hero and one of literature’s greatest heroes of all time too.
