I’m 58 right now but when I was 9 years old I saw To Kill A Mockingbird. This was also the time when my father left us. I was the oldest of 5 boys and my mother struggled to cope. I needed guidance and comfort and it was then that Atticus became my dad. His calm wisdom has forever been my safe place to go when the world around me gets crazy. Atticus eventually has helped me to be a dad where no other role model existed. My daughter Jessica also now loves Atticus Finch and am confident her children will too someday. I am forever grateful.
