Yes, I loved Roman holiday which I saw in 1954, when I was 12 years old but that was trumped by his outstanding performance as Atticus Finch in ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’. His dignity and gravitas were very affecting and his sheer integrity. Imagine my joy on discovering GP himself was such a man! That made it all the easier to give full rein to one’s admiration. His family must be immensely proud that we are still talking about him and will never forget him.
