Gregory Peck was my idol in my youth and still is. I loved the sense of presence he had in his films and believe this came from his Irish background. I hoped to be like him in character. Having an Irish accent, being much shorter and sounding much less sophisticated I am far from that dream. However having discovered some core truths about our existence, I have come to realize my value as a person goes beyond our external appearance.
